Role Purpose:  

The role is responsible for providing overall sales operations support for the regional sales teams that covers sales and contracts administration, retail order to bill support, sales processes and tools as well sales support issues escalations.


The role ensures retail channel productivity by developing and enforcing retail SOPs (Stock & cash management/operational costs) and be involved in the performance management process for the retail stores managers. It also oversees the SIM selling outlets, activation agents and trade marketing channel initiatives support.


The role holder will also oversee execution of inventory management of Telkom and consignment stock across the regional sales network for all customer devices, end-points and SIM cards.


The role provides leadership to a team of sales support managers who are assigned to the various Telkom sales regions and in charge of supporting the sales channels within the regions.


Key Responsibilities 

Supervise sales support activities across the regions to contribute to customer satisfaction, retention and growth:


Sales & contracts administration

Retail order to bill support

Channel sales order to bill process

Sales processes and tools development, implementation and management

Work closely with the sales analysis team in processing relevant data and information (from POS, CRM, Data Warehouse), translating it into actionable strategies that drive sales and lead to achievement of targets.

Develop and enforce SOPs across all direct (retail) and indirect sales stores.

Ensure all shops and channels are equipped and supported to offer ultimate customer experience.

Build high quality brand image through the management of regional merchandising standards

Ensure the correct inventory levels to support sales interventions.

Operations Management

Workforce planning and performance management across all retail stores

Create an inspirational and growth-enabled environment for staff and foster positive company philosophy.

Communicate link with overall organizational direction

Execute retail operations, staff, train, audit, prevent payroll loss, schedule, market and fulfill orders smoothly.



Academic background & Professional Knowledge:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field

6 - 8 years’ experience with Business Intelligence, Project management, Data analyses, Inventory management, Supply Chain understanding

Relevant professional Sales Management certification
