OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Head of Security is responsible for the strategic leadership, development, and operational management of the Security Department. The role holder develops and implements robust security strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization’s assets, employees, and facilities. This includes assessing risks and vulnerabilities, leading and managing a security team, coordinating emergency response plans, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and fostering a culture of security awareness while upholding the ministry’s core values and biblical Christian principles.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in either Criminology, Security Management, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or any security management-related field.
In-depth knowledge of physical security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms), risk assessment methodologies, and emergency response procedures.
Proven knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to security, privacy, and safety in Kenya.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and security management software.
Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
Professional certifications are an added advantage.
Born-again Christian with clear demonstration of the institution’s core values.
Demonstrates a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to spiritual growth.
Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in any security management role, preferably within a large institution, church, non-profit, educational, or corporate environment.
At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity, with a proven track record of managing and developing a team.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing security policies and emergency response plans.
