HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Health & Safety Officer to oversee health, safety and environmental standards at our construction site. The successful candidate will be responsible  for :

Key Responsibilities.

• Conducting regular and daily site safety inspections.
• Identifying hazards and carrying out risk assessments.
• Ensure all workers properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Conducting safety inductions, toolbox talks and safety training.
• Monitoring compliance with HSE/OSH regulations and company safety procedures.
• Investigating accidents, incidents and near misses and preparing reports.
• Maintaining accurate safety records, inspection reports and documenting.
• Monitoring safe working practices, including working at height, scaffolding, excavation, electrical works and machinery operations.
• Promoting a strong safety culture among all employees and site personnel.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• University Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Health & Safety  or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a construction site environment.
• Valid DOSHS/OSH certification and other relevant safety training.
• Good knowledge of Kenyan occupational health and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, hazard identification and accident prevention.
• Strong communication, leadership and reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a construction site environment.
• High level of attention to detail, responsibility and commitment to workplace safety.
