DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Hotel Operations

·       Provide overall leadership and direction for all hotel operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Security, Finance, Sales & Marketing, and Human Resources.

·       Ensure smooth day-to-day operations while maintaining high standards of guest service, efficiency, and profitability.

·       Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and service standards aligned with industry best practices.

·       Monitor departmental performance and ensure operational excellence across all functions.

·       Oversee facilities management to ensure the hotel remains safe, functional, and well maintained.

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

·       Ensure delivery of exceptional guest service and consistently high customer satisfaction.

·       Handle escalated guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.

·       Monitor guest feedback and implement service improvement initiatives.

·       Promote a culture of hospitality, professionalism, and continuous improvement throughout the hotel.

Financial Management

·       Develop and manage annual operating budgets and departmental expenditure.

·       Monitor revenue, profitability, occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and other key financial indicators.

·       Identify opportunities to maximize revenue while effectively managing operational costs.

·       Approve procurement and expenditure in line with company policies.

·       Prepare regular financial and operational reports for senior management and ownership.

 

Sales, Marketing & Business Development

·       Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to develop strategies that increase occupancy and revenue.

·       Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, government institutions, and key stakeholders.

·       Identify opportunities to expand the hotel's market presence and strengthen its brand.

·       Support promotional campaigns, partnerships, and special events.

Leadership & People Management

·       Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop departmental managers and employees.

·       Foster a positive, accountable, and performance-driven work culture.

·       Conduct performance evaluations and implement employee development plans.

·       Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and ethical standards.

·       Promote teamwork, employee engagement, and effective communication across departments.

Compliance, Risk & Quality Assurance

·       Ensure compliance with all applicable hospitality regulations, health and safety requirements, and licensing standards.

·       Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, security, and operational compliance.

·       Develop and implement risk management and emergency response procedures.

·       Ensure internal controls and operational audits are effectively maintained.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

·       Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

·       Professional certifications in hospitality management are an added advantage.

·       Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in the hospitality industry.

·       At least five (5) years in a senior management role within a four-star or higher-rated hotel.

·       Demonstrated success in managing hotel operations, financial performance, and large, multidisciplinary teams.

·       Experience working in multicultural or international hospitality environments is an added advantage.
