Job summary
General Purpose Our client, a busy and reputable hotel located along Thika Road, is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and hands-on professional to join their team in the role of Housekeeping Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring exceptional cleanliness standards, efficient housekeeping operations, and excellent guest satisfaction across the hotel.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Supervise daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms, public areas, corridors, and other hotel facilities are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards
• Allocate duties, prepare staff schedules, and monitor the performance and productivity of housekeeping personnel
• Conduct routine inspections of rooms and common areas to ensure compliance with established quality and presentation standards
• Ensure adequate availability and proper utilization of housekeeping supplies, cleaning materials, and linen inventories
• Train, coach, and support housekeeping staff to improve service quality, efficiency, and adherence to hotel procedures
• Respond promptly to guest requests, housekeeping concerns, and service issues to enhance guest satisfaction
• Monitor compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements across all housekeeping operations
• Prepare housekeeping reports, inventory records, maintenance requests, and other operational documentation as required
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth hotel operations and timely resolution of housekeeping-related matters
• Support management in maintaining a clean, safe, welcoming, and professionally managed hotel environment
Requirements & Qualifications
• Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in housekeeping operations within a busy hotel environment, with experience in a supervisory capacity being highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning standards, room preparation, laundry operations, and guest service requirements
• Proven ability to supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff while maintaining high performance standards
• Good understanding of health, safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations applicable within the hospitality industry
• Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple housekeeping activities effectively
