JOB SUMMARY
ALX Africa is seeking a motivated and passionate Learning Team Intern to support learners as they progress through their ALX programs, from enrollment to graduation. The hub community and operations intern will play a critical role in enhancing the learner experience by providing consistent engagement, guidance, and support, while collaborating with the wider team to ensure program success. This is an in person position.Skill Requirements - EssentialStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgroundsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailProblem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyProficiency with common digital tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, etc.)Data analysis skills to interpret learner attendance and progress reportSkill Requirements - PreferablePrevious experience in education support, customer service, or learner engagementExperience managing social media communities or digital learning platformsBasic understanding of program/project management toolsExposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Google Data Studio, Power BI)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide timely support and guidance to learners throughout their ALX program journeyAssist with onboarding activities to help learners successfully start their coursesTrack learner progress, identify challenges, and proactively offer solutionsSupport data collection and reporting on learner milestones and program outcomesFacilitate communications and engagement campaigns across multiple channelsCollaborate with mentors, program managers, and other stakeholders to coordinate learner supportAssist with organizing learning events, webinars, or workshops to drive community engagementContribute ideas to improve learner experience processes and systemsAny other roles assigned to assist in the learner or larger community engagement.
