Salary: KSh 40,000 – 50,000 Gross
Job Purpose
The Human Resource Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the HR department by ensuring efficient recruitment coordination, accurate employee records management, payroll input preparation, and compliance with labour laws and company HR policies. The role supports consistent HR service delivery in a high labour-intensive or multi-company environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding

Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communication

Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documentation

Support induction and employee orientation processes
2. HRIS & Records Management
-
Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and physical files
-
Update staff changes including promotions, transfers, and exits

Ensure confidentiality and proper documentation storage
3. Payroll & Statutory Support
-
Compile attendance, leave, overtime, and payroll inputs

Prepare statutory deduction schedules and reports

Liaise with finance to ensure timely payroll processing
4. Employee Relations & Compliance
-
Prepare disciplinary notices, warning letters, and hearing documents

Track disciplinary timelines and documentation validity
-
Support HR audits and ensure compliance with labour regulations
5. HR Administration & Reporting

Prepare HR reports on staffing, attendance, and turnover
-
Support leave tracking and staff communication
-
Assist with HR projects and policy implementation
Qualifications & Experience
-
Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
-
4–5 years’ HR Generalist experience in labour-intensive or multi-entity setup
-
Experience using HRIS systems and payroll processes
