We are seeking a high-performing Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) with strong end-to-end HR generalist expertise, including payroll coordination, to support our operations in Kenya.
The HRBP will serve as a strategic and operational partner to business leaders across workforce planning, employee relations, recruitment, performance management, payroll coordination, compliance, and organizational development. This role requires a hands-on HR professional who can effectively balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational execution in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of Kenyan labor law, broad experience across all HR functions, and the ability to independently manage complex HR matters with professionalism and sound judgment. The HRBP will work within the HR team and report directly to the Senior HR Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with managers on HR strategy, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, probation, and talent development processes.
- Handle employee relations matters, disciplinary cases, investigations, and labor law compliance.
- Coordinate payroll inputs, attendance, overtime, allowances, and statutory compliance (NSSF, NHIF, PAYE, NITA, etc.).
- Drive performance management, coaching, and development initiatives.
- Support training, learning, and leadership development programs.
- Maintain HR records, contracts, reporting, and audit readiness.
- Provide HR analytics and insights to support business decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience with strong generalist exposure.
- Experience across all HR functions, including payroll coordination.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Experience handling employee relations matters independently.
- HRIS and advanced Excel proficiency required.
- Experience in multinational or structured organizations is an advantage.
