Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and implement HR strategy aligned with company growth plans.
  • Advise management on workforce planning and organizational structure.
  • Lead culture-building and employee engagement initiatives.

Talent Management

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.
  • Develop performance management systems and KPIs.
  • Implement training and development programs for factory and office staff.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws and statutory requirements.
  • Manage disciplinary processes, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee employee contracts, policies, and HR documentation.

Compensation & Payroll Oversight

  • Supervise payroll processes and benefits administration.
  • Support salary structuring and compensation reviews.

Manufacturing Workforce Oversight

  • Manage shift workforce dynamics and productivity issues.
  • Promote health, safety, and workplace standards in collaboration with operations.
  • Strengthen HR controls within production and logistics teams.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management (CHRP-K preferred).
  • Minimum 5–7 years progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial setup.
  • Proven experience managing HR teams and multi-level workforces.
  • Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Experience handling complex employee relations matters.
  • Exposure to payroll systems and HRIS platforms.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence senior management.
