Functions / Key Results Expected

The incumbent will support the delivery and maintenance of low-code digital solutions and data analytics products as part of the DCO development team. Work will be carried out under agreed standards and with guidance from senior technical colleagues. Key functions include:

• Digital solution development and automation: Configure, develop and enhance forms, applications, analytical tools and workflow automations using approved low-code platforms and, where appropriate, coded components. Apply reusable development patterns, version control and agreed technical standards.
• Data preparation and management: Collect, clean, transform, reconcile, validate and organize structured data for reporting, analysis and operational use. Support repeatable ETL processes, data pipelines, data models, taxonomies, metadata and data-quality controls.
• Data analysis and visualization: Produce clear analyses, dashboards, reports and interactive visualizations that respond to agreed business and decision-making needs, including rapid and ad hoc analytical requests.
• UNINFO data and integration support: Contribute to UNINFO data analysis, reporting, quality assurance and the development of AI-ready data structures. Support API-led data exchange and integration between UNINFO and other authorized enterprise data sources, under agreed security, governance and architectural standards.
• Requirements and process mapping: Support consultations with business focal points, document user needs and map existing processes to identify opportunities for simplification or automation.
• Testing and quality assurance: Define or support acceptance criteria; prepare and execute test cases; validate data, integrations and outputs; document defects; and contribute to automated testing, code or configuration review, and responsible-AI quality checks.
• Technical maintenance and solution support: Investigate application, automation and data-quality issues; resolve routine technical problems related to solutions maintained by the team; and escalate complex incidents or service-desk matters to senior team members.
• Documentation and knowledge sharing: Maintain user guides, data definitions, process notes and technical documentation, and support demonstrations or training sessions.
• Team collaboration: Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, code or configuration reviews and other agile team activities.
• AI-enabled solution development: Support the design, prototyping, testing and improvement of AI-enabled analytical tools, retrieval-augmented generation solutions, intelligent assistants and agentic or automated workflows. Contribute to prompt design or testing, source grounding, output evaluation, quality assurance and responsible-AI controls under the guidance of senior technical colleagues.
• Information analysis and verification: Support structured analysis of authorized open-source and organizational information, including source assessment, classification, pattern identification and verification, in accordance with applicable information-security, data-protection and ethical requirements. This in support of corporate reporting needs.
• Continuous improvement: Keep skills current in low-code development, data analytics, accessibility, data protection and responsible use of AI. Apply this learning progressively under appropriate technical guidance

Education Requirements

• An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent), preferably in information technology, information systems, information management, data science, business analytics or a related field is required; or
• A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) , preferably in information technology, information systems, information management, data science, business analytics or a related field with two (2) years of relevant experience is required; or
• A high school diploma with six (6)years of relevant experience is required.

• Relevant experience is defined as experience in data analysis, reporting, business process automation, or digital solutions development and maintenance.
• Experience using at least one low-code or data analytics platform, such as Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Tableau, Qlik, or a comparable tool, is required.
• Experience preparing, cleaning, validating, and analyzing structured data is required.

Desired:

• Experience creating dashboards and reports using Power BI, including Power Query and basic data modelling, is desirable.
• Experience developing forms, applications or workflow automations using Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Dataverse or comparable platforms is an asset.
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data is desirable.
• Basic experience with Python for data preparation, analysis or automation is desirable.
• Familiarity with version control, preferably Git, is an asset.
• Experience gathering user requirements, mapping business processes and documenting solutions is desirable
• Experience testing digital products, documenting defects and supporting users is an asset.
• Experience working in an agile team or using task and issue-tracking tools is desirable.
• Experience working independently and collaboratively with remote, geographically diverse teams is desirable.
• Familiarity with APIs, relational databases, cloud services or data integration concepts is an asset; advanced development or infrastructure administration is not required.
• Exposure to AI-assisted tools, simple AI-enabled applications or the evaluation of AI-generated outputs is an asset.
• Exposure to geospatial data, vector data or mapping tools is an asset.
• Some experience working with the public or not-for-profit sector would be an asset.

This role provides an opportunity to contribute to low-code and coded solution development, workflow automation, data analytics, UNINFO-related data integration, geospatial analysis, and testing of applied AI solutions, including retrieval-augmented generation, AI-enabled analytical tools, and user-centred digital solutions while working under the guidance of experienced developers and data specialists, under appropriate and responsible AI standards
