ICT Pre-Sales Engineer – Nairobi
Job summary
This is a key role where you will act as the technical link between our sales team and prospective clients across East Africa.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Solution Design & Architecture: Create tailored ICT solutions (cybersecurity, network, cloud, video surveillance) and prepare technical specifications (BoMs).
- Technical Sales Support: Lead technical discovery sessions, qualify customer requirements, and explain how our solutions solve their challenges.
- Demonstrations & Presentations: Deliver engaging product demos and proof-of-concept presentations to both technical teams and senior executives.
- Proposal Development: Contribute to technical sections of proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and prepare detailed technical documentation.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as a trusted advisor, building strong client relationships and addressing complex technical questions.
- Experience: At least 5 years in ICT pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting, with proven success in complex B2B sales cycles.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent experience supported by recognized certifications.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of enterprise network architecture, firewalls, IDS/IPS, cybersecurity frameworks, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Certifications: Advanced certifications such as Fortinet NSE, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Azure are highly valued.
- Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and proposal writing abilities.
