ABOUT THE COMPANY
The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) is a CGIAR Consortium Research Centre that aims at rural transformation throughout the tropics as smallholder households increase their use of trees in agricultural landscapes to improve their food security, nutrition security, income, health, shelter, social cohesion, energy resources and environmental sustainability.
JOB SUMMARY
Education, Knowledge, and Experience RequirementsExpertise in traditional knowledge systems, African cultural contexts, and community engagement.Relevant degree(s) in related fields.Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages are a plusĀ (specifically French or Portuguese).Proven experience working in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams, preferably in non-profit or development contexts.Experience in working in African countriesStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Commitment to collaborative learning, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.Proven experience working in youth programs or related development initiatives is highly desirable.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and foster knowledge sharing.Agility and the ability to respond quickly and effectively in fast-paced, urgent work environments are essential, as the work often requires rapid mobilization and adaptive action.
