Job summary
The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, operating and maintaining the organisation's ICT infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable and highly available technology services. The role provides leadership for servers, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms, LAN/WAN connectivity, Active Directory, backup infrastructure, databases, telephony infrastructure, end-user computing, IT support and disaster recovery infrastructure

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Infrastructure Strategy
· Develop the ICT Infrastructure Strategy and annual work plan.
· Maintain infrastructure standards and documentation.
· Plan infrastructure capacity and lifecycle replacement.
· Recommend infrastructure improvements aligned to business growth.
· Server & Data Centre Management
· Manage physical and virtual servers.
Manage storage infrastructure.
· Administer Windows and Linux servers.
· Monitor server health and performance.
· Coordinate infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.
Network Infrastructure
· Manage LAN, WAN and wireless infrastructure.
· Maintain switches, routers and structured cabling.
· Monitor network availability and utilization.
· Coordinate ISP connectivity and branch links.
· Troubleshoot network performance issues.
Cloud & Microsoft Services
· Administer Microsoft 365 services.
· Manage cloud infrastructure and subscriptions.
· Support email services and collaboration platforms.
· Maintain cloud backups and recovery.
Active Directory & Core Services
· Administer Active Directory infrastructure.
· Maintain DNS, DHCP and Group Policy.
· Manage domain controllers and replication.
· Support authentication infrastructure.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
· Implement enterprise backup solutions.
· Monitor backup success and storage utilization.
· Perform restoration testing.
· Maintain Disaster Recovery infrastructure.
End User Computing
· Manage desktop and laptop deployment.
· Standardize operating system images.
· Manage hardware lifecycle.
· Coordinate IT support activities.
Maintain software inventory.
· Database & Business Systems Infrastructure
· Install and maintain SQL Server infrastructure.
· Support ERP and business application hosting.
· Monitor database server performance.
· Coordinate infrastructure requirements for enterprise systems.
Telephony & Communication
· Manage VoIP and PABX infrastructure.
· Support video conferencing platforms.
· Maintain communication infrastructure availability.
Vendor & Asset Management
· Manage ICT infrastructure vendors.
· Maintain ICT asset register.
· Monitor maintenance contracts and warranties.
· Plan infrastructure procurement.
Management
· Prepare infrastructure budgets.
· Develop monthly infrastructure reports.
· Lead infrastructure team members.
· Participate in ICT management meetings.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
· Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or related field
· Minimum 5 years' ICT infrastructure experience & 2 years in infrastructure administration or leadership
· Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure administration
· Experience with Windows Server, Linux and virtualization
· Knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing and switching
· Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory and SQL Server
