ABOUT THE COMPANY
The Fracht Group is a Swiss International Freight Forwarder that has existed since 1955, with its headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.
As a reputable Freight Forwarder, Fracht has a worldwide network that stretches across all continents. We are in 115 countries worldwide; of which 16 of these are in Africa.
Fracht established offices in Kenya in 2019, with its head office located in Parklands, Nairobi. In addition, we are strategically located at all country entry points of Mombasa Port, Malaba, Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi, Busia, and Namanga.
Fracht Kenya directly employs more than 40 staff and indirectly through our trucking partners, CFS operators, and other subcontractors more than 1000 people in the country.
JOB SUMMARY
Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or sales support.Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.A proactive, client-focused team player.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Support & Client EngagementHandle inbound sales inquiries and respond to clients promptly and professionally.Prepare quotations and proposals in line with company pricing policies.Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients through proactive follow-ups.Pricing & Quotation ManagementDevelop accurate and competitive freight rates for air, sea, and road shipments.Liaise with carriers, agents, and internal teams to obtain optimal pricing.Log, track, and systematically follow up on all quotations issued. Market IntelligenceMonitor competitor pricing and market trends.Provide insights to management on rate movements and customer expectations.Operational CoordinationWork closely with operations and customer service teams to support smooth shipment execution.Assist in tender submissions and large project pricing exercises.Reporting & PerformanceMaintain sales, pricing, and quotation tracking reports for management review.Monitor quotation conversion rates and identify opportunities for improvement.
