Job summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Finance Assistant to support the finance department in managing accounting records, inventory reconciliation, and financial reporting. The role will involve working closely with operations and store teams to ensure accurate inventory tracking, financial documentation, & compliance with internal controls

Job descriptions & requirements

Financial & Accounting Support
Assist in identifying accounting issues, researching possible solutions, and presenting findings to management.
Support financial reporting processes and assist with ad-hoc financial analysis when required.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions.


Inventory Control & Reconciliation
Conduct periodic physical inventory checks at store locations and verify stock accuracy.
Perform reconciliation between physical inventory, book records, and the perpetual inventory system.
Investigate and follow up on inventory discrepancies and in-transit stock issues.
Prepare and process monthly inventory adjustments.


Audit & Compliance
Support internal, financial, and tax audits by preparing required documentation and responding to information requests.
Ensure inventory and accounting processes comply with internal control procedures.


Reporting & Analysis
Prepare inventory reconciliation reports and highlight discrepancies or irregularities.
Assist in preparing management reports related to inventory and financial performance.


Other Duties
Assist with special projects and additional finance tasks as assigned by management.


Qualifications
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or inventory control.
Knowledge of accounting principles and inventory management processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.


Preferred Skills
Experience working in retail, FMCG, or distribution environments.
Familiarity with inventory management systems or ERP platforms.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
