INVENTORY & COST ACCOUNTING

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Manage and reconcile inventory records.
• Monitor stock movements, purchases, usage, and balances.
• Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and assist with stock counts.
• Track and analyze production costs.
• Prepare cost accounting reports and provide cost analysis to management.
• Monitor raw material costs, labour costs, overheads, and production expenses.
• Assist in determining product costing and profitability.
• Identify inventory variances, wastage, and discrepancies.
• Reconcile supplier invoices, purchase records, and inventory documentation.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Prepare periodic financial and management reports.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting procedures.
• Work closely with procurement, stores, production, and management teams.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in accounting and inventory management.
• Cost accounting experience is a MUST.
• Strong understanding of inventory control and reconciliation.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience in manufacturing, steel, or industrial production will be highly advantageous.
