Their extensive online catalog features a wide range of inventory, from individual components like RJ45 connectors to large 42U networking cabinets, serving a dynamic and growing market. Salary is 25,000 KES and location is in CBD Nairobi
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Recording & Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software. Process accounts payable and receivable, manage invoices, and handle bank reconciliations.
- Inventory & Cost Accounting: Apply fundamental cost accounting principles to track inventory valuation for a diverse product portfolio (e.g., networking accessories, cabinets, handsets). Assist in monitoring stock levels and analyzing product line profitability.
- Sales & Revenue Tracking: Record daily sales transactions from the online and offline business. Reconcile sales data, manage customer accounts, and process refunds or discounts as per company policy.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and file statutory returns, including VAT, in a timely manner. Ensure all financial practices comply with Kenyan regulations.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, profit & loss statements, and balance sheets. Generate regular financial reports to aid management decision-making.
- Payroll Administration: Process staff payroll and ensure accurate calculation of deductions and allowances.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate or Diloma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA Part II or equivalent qualification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within a trading, retail, or distribution company.
- Solid understanding of basic inventory accounting and cost of goods sold (COGS) is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Pastel) and MS Excel.
- Knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
