JOB SUMMARY

Minimum Educational Qualifications and Professional ExperienceTo qualify for appointment an applicant must have:LecturerAn earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant field from an accredited and recognized university and be registered or registerable with the relevant professional body.ORA Master’s degree in related areas from an accredited universityA minimum of 3 years’ experience in teaching and/or industrial experience in the relevant industry;A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points as per the CUE Standards & Guidelines, 2014, of which at least sixteen (16) should be from refereed scholarly journal papersBe registered for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent Doctoral degree qualificationBe registered with the relevant professional body.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels in the specific areas of specialization as listed above.Support and mentor students in their career endeavors.Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure that the programs are up-to-date and marketable.Participate in program assessment and reviews.Supervise students’ research (projects/ thesis/ dissertations) at the undergraduate and graduate levels.Engage in research in one’s area of expertise.Engage in service to the University, the profession and to the community.Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
