Key Accountabilities
- Represent clients in court across various levels of the judiciary, including preparing court documents, legal arguments, and oral submissions.
- Attend court hearings regularly, advocating on behalf of clients, presenting evidence, and managing proceedings effectively.
- Conduct thorough legal research and produce well-reasoned legal opinions and briefs in a timely and accurate manner.
- Draft high-quality legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, motions, letters of demand, and settlement agreements, with minimal supervision.
- Manage a diverse litigation caseload, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are kept fully informed throughout the process.
- Engage directly with clients, take detailed briefs, provide strategic legal advice, and build trusted relationships.
- Handle debt recovery matters, including initiating legal action, enforcing judgments, and negotiating payment terms.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including counsel, court officials, and regulatory bodies, to ensure effective case management.
- Adapt quickly and effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Contribute to strategic litigation planning, offering input on case strategy, risk analysis, and dispute resolution options.
