The Loan and Collection Officer is responsible for managing loan applications, monitoring repayments, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. Key Responsibilities

  • Loan Processing & Management
    • Assess loan applications, verify documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies.
    • Maintain accurate records of loan disbursements and repayments.
    • Monitor loan accounts to identify potential risks or defaults.
  • Collections
    • Contact clients with overdue accounts via calls, emails, and visits.
    • Negotiate repayment plans and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
    • Escalate delinquent accounts to management or legal teams when necessary.
  • Customer Relations
    • Provide guidance to clients on repayment schedules and financial obligations.
    • Handle customer inquiries and resolve disputes professionally.
    • Build strong relationships to encourage repayment discipline and client loyalty.
  • Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly collection reports.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with finance and audit teams to maintain transparency.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in loan processing, credit control, or debt collection.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet collection targets.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
