Job Function

To design and implement regional client services delivery strategy and associated best practice, management of operational outputs contributing to client satisfaction, reduced risk and improved profitability. Building of trust relationships with clients and suppliers to support business development and growth objectives. Key focus on solutions, optimisation, reporting and maintaining a positive team culture. Overseeing the end‑to‑end client service delivery, coordinating internal functions, optimising transport operations, and ensuring billing accuracy and service-level compliance.

  • Leading & supervising - provides others with a clear direction and motivates and empowers others.
  • Adhering to principles & values - upholds ethics and values and demonstrates integrity.
  • Relating and networking - easily establishes good relationships with customers, subcontractors and staff
  • Presenting and communicating information
  • Analyses numerical data and all other sources of information, to break them into component parts, patterns and relationships.
  • Knowledge of TMS systems and planning software.
  • Support transport compliance and governance.
  • Development of commercial models and rate structure
  • Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management
  • Operational Management - Oversee daily Transport Management operations, ensuring adherence to SLA, SOPs, and best‑practice standards.
  • Leadership & People Management - Lead, mentor, and develop the Client Services team. Drive a culture of accountability, performance excellence, and customer centricity.
  • Reporting & Compliance - Ensure accurate, timely reporting to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Billing, Cost Control & Financial Accuracy - Ensure accurate rate application for all loads and services.
  • Validate billing inputs and support financial teams during month‑end processes. Investigate and rectify rate discrepancies, zero‑rated loads, or unbilled activities.
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities and support client profitability management.


Qualifications Required

  • Matric
  • Logistics or similar qualification will be an advantage


Experience and Skills Required

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Logistics Operational Supervisor/Management environment
  • TMS and Planning Software
  • Tracking Systems (Pullsit, C-Track etc.)
  • Operational cross border experience essential
