Job summary

To oversee the company’s financial management, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across all operations (including depots and factory).

Job descriptions & requirements

1. Financial Reporting

·         Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

·         Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

·         Consolidate reports from depots and factory units

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

·         Lead annual budgeting process

·         Monitor budget performance vs actuals

·         Provide financial forecasts and recommendations

3. Cash Flow Management

·         Monitor company cash flow and liquidity

·         Plan and manage working capital

·         Ensure timely payments and collections

4. Cost Control & Profitability

·         Analyze production and operational costs

·         Monitor margins (milk, yogurt, etc.)

·         Identify cost-saving opportunities

5. Internal Controls & Risk Management

·         Develop and enforce financial controls across:

·         Depots

·         Factory

·         Prevent fraud, errors, and losses

·         Conduct periodic audits and checks

6. Tax & Compliance

·         Ensure compliance with Kenyan tax laws:

·         VAT

·         PAYE

·         Corporate tax

·         Liaise with tax authorities and auditors

7. Team Management

Supervise:

·         Depot accountants

·         Accounts assistants

·         Provide training and performance management

8. Systems & Process Improvement

Oversee accounting systems such as:

·         Acnker ERP

·         Improve financial processes and reporting efficiency

9. Strategic Support

Advise management on:

·         Pricing strategies

·         Expansion plans

·         Cost optimization

·         Support decision-making with financial insights

10. Audit Coordination

·         Prepare for internal and external audits

·         Ensure proper documentation and compliance
