Role
The Market Manager role will be employed by Remote and based in Nairobi, Kenya. The role will include providing services to the Student Recruitment department of Kaplan Business School, a client of Remote, with a focus on expanding KBS’s reach and impact across the Africa region.
As Market Manager, you will be responsible for promoting Kaplan Business School programs across Africa, generating new business opportunities, and delivering high-quality customer service and relationship management through proactive inbound and outbound initiatives. You will also be expected to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the education sector and related industries.
A key focus of the role is to enhance brand visibility and recognition for Kaplan Business School across Africa, ensuring alignment with the institution’s global standards and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Drive brand awareness for Kaplan Business School across Africa, building strong relationships with education agents, institutions, and key stakeholders
- Develop and deliver student recruitment plans in partnership with the Regional Manager to meet growth targets
- Design and execute targeted marketing and recruitment campaigns, tracking performance and ROI
- Identify and develop new partnership opportunities with institutions and recruitment channels
- Manage and grow a network of education agents, including training, performance monitoring, and ongoing engagement
- Represent KBS at events, fairs, and networking opportunities to promote the brand and generate leads
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and provide insights to inform strategy and decision-making
- Ensure compliance with ESOS regulations and internal policies, including oversight of GTE processes and accurate CRM record-keeping
Requirements
- Strong understanding of international student recruitment, ideally within the Australian education sector
- Proven success in achieving recruitment targets and delivering effective marketing initiatives
- Experience building and managing relationships with agents and stakeholders across diverse markets
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. business, marketing, international education) and willingness to travel regularly
