Marketer (Microfinance Client Acquisition)
Job summary
We are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented Marketer to drive client acquisition and expand our microfinance footprint. In this role, you will be the face of Nawiri na Imani Group Kenya Limited in the community, identifying market opportunities, generating high-quality leads, and onboarding clients for our credit and financial products.

Duties and Responsibilities
Market Outreach: Conduct field marketing, market storms, and community activations to identify potential clients, self-help groups, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Client Acquisition: Pitch the company's financial and credit products to prospects, effectively communicating the unique value propositions, terms, and benefits of Nawiri na Imani products.
Lead Generation & Pre-Screening: Generate a continuous pipeline of qualified prospective borrowers and conduct initial pre-screening to ensure potential clients meet basic eligibility criteria before referring them to the Loan Officer.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, community leaders, and business associations to create dependable referral networks.
Brand Awareness: Represent the company professionally in the market, ensuring consistent messaging that aligns with our core mission of financial empowerment and trust.
Market Intelligence: Gather and report feedback on market trends, competitor products, and client needs to help refine product offerings and marketing strategies.
Target Achievement: Meet and exceed weekly and monthly targets for new client onboarding, pipeline generation, and product awareness.
Requirements and Skills
Experience: Proven experience in field marketing, sales, or client acquisition, specifically within the microfinance sector, credit-only institutions, or banking.
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
Skills: Excellent persuasive communication, public speaking, and negotiation skills. Ability to pitch complex financial terms in simple, relatable language.
Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the local Nairobi business landscape, particularly informal markets, MSMEs, and group-lending dynamics.
Attributes: Self-motivated, highly energetic, and resilient, with a proven track record of working independently in the field to achieve aggressive growth targets.
