Job Summary

As the Media and Digital Channels Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and managing a TV channel, as well as other media and digital platforms, to build and engage an online community following. This role requires a combination of strategic planning, content creation, and audience engagement skills to grow viewership, foster community interaction, and drive brand awareness and loyalty.

Our client is an established property developer in Kenya focussing on high quality affordable homes based in Kiambu, Kenya.



  • TV Channel Setup and Management: Lead the setup and launch of a new TV channel, overseeing all aspects of programming, scheduling, and production. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop content strategies that resonate with the target audience and drive viewership.
  • Digital and Online Platform Development: Develop and implement strategies to expand the organizations presence across digital and online platforms, including social media, streaming services, and digital publishing channels. Optimize content for each platform to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Content Creation and Curation: Oversee the creation and curation of high-quality content across all media channels, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and audience preferences. Develop compelling narratives, stories, and visuals to captivate and engage the online community.
  • Audience Engagement and Community Building: Actively engage with the online community through social media interactions, live events, and audience feedback channels. Foster meaningful connections and dialogue to build a loyal and supportive community around the brand.
  • Performance Tracking and Analysis: Monitor and analyze key performance metrics across media and digital channels, including viewership, engagement, and audience demographics. Use data insights to refine content strategies, optimize channel performance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partnership and Collaboration: Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and collaborations with influencers, content creators, and media outlets to amplify brand reach and engagement. Negotiate and manage partnerships to ensure mutual benefit and alignment with brand values.
  • Brand Representation and Promotion: Serve as a brand ambassador and spokesperson for the TV channel and digital platforms, representing the organization at industry events, media appearances, and promotional activities. Promote brand visibility and awareness through effective marketing and communication strategies.



Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Media Studies, Communications, Marketing, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in media management, digital content creation, or audience development roles, preferably within the broadcasting or digital media industry.
  • Strong understanding of media production processes, content distribution channels, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Proficiency in digital media tools and platforms, including social media management, content management systems, and analytics software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross- functional teams and external partners.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling, audience engagement, and community building.
  • - Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data insights and make data-driven decisions to optimize channel performance.
  • - Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast- paced environment.
