Job Summary

As a Sales Officer, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by selling medical devices to ophthalmic clinics, hospitals, and health facilities. You will identify new clients, maintain strong relationships, and ensure consistent sales performance. Your success will be measured by units sold, revenue generated, and account growth.


Key Responsibilities

Sales & Territory Growth

●       Identify, prospect, and onboard new clinics, hospitals, and healthcare facilities.

●       Actively pursue sales opportunities with institutions, NGOs, and eye care programs.

●       Build and manage a strong sales pipeline to consistently meet and exceed monthly targets.

●       Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical explanations to healthcare providers.

Account Management & Relationship Building

●       Develop strong, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and procurement teams.

●       Provide support and product training to clients.

●       Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts.

Market Intelligence & Execution

●       Conduct market mapping to identify new opportunities and understand competitive activity.

●       Share customer feedback and market insights with management.

●       Ensure effective execution of sales campaigns and promotional activities.

Reporting & Performance Management

●       Maintain accurate sales reports, pipeline updates, and territory performance tracking.

●       Track leads, conversations, conversions, and closures using the company’s CRM system.

●       Collaborate with support teams to ensure post-sale customer satisfaction.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential:

●       2–4 years of proven experience in medical equipment sales, ophthalmic products, or hospital equipment.

●       Demonstrated success in selling to clinics, hospitals, or healthcare facilities.

●       Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, commerce, or a related field.

●       Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.

●       Ability to manage a sales territory independently and consistently meet targets.

●       Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Swahili a plus).

●       Willingness to travel extensively within Kenya and occasionally internationally.


Desirable:

●       Existing network within ophthalmic clinics, hospitals, or healthcare procurement.

●       Experience using CRM and sales reporting tools.

●       Background working with impact-driven organizations.


Compensation & Benefits

●       Base Salary: KES 35,000 per month
