Job summaryÂ
The medical director will be responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of care provided and helps growing the capacity of the medical team. Successful candidate will work closely with the executive management team to implement strategies that enhance patient care and improve the medical practice.
Responsibilities for Medical Director
• Work directly with medical staff to educate them on our care process and determine what can be done to improve overall care quality
• Act as the medical expert in the management and administrative activitiesÂ
• Examining and coordinating the facility's activities to guarantee medical quality
• Manage the number of activities related to the delivery of medical care and clinical services such as cost management, utilization review, quality assurance, and medical protocol development
• Participate in various administrative, clinical staff meetings
• Maintain confidentiality of all information related to participants, medical staff and employees
• Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations in dealing with fellow employees, supervisors
• Oversee the activities of group physicians, including the recruiting and credentialing processes
• Help in managing daily operations of the hospital
• Ensure high quality of patient care
• Assist in hiring and appraising performance for medical staffÂ
• Coordinate schedules of nurses and physicians
• Ensure legal compliance
• Actively participate in patient management
Qualifications for Medical Director
• At least bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgeryÂ
• Valid license to practice medicine required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 3 years' experience in clinical medicine
• Experience in offering critical careÂ
• Able to enter information in the NCHC EHS system and compile reports or data as requested
• Experience in leadership
• Excellent judgment, problem-solving and cognitive skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Current knowledge of chronic care/geriatric issues and best practices
