Medical Scientific Liaison

Job Function

To ensure development of professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) on a peer-to-peer basis one to one and advisory boards as per agreed medical plan. Responsible for providing scientific expertise in therapeutic areas as agreed including delivery of medical education and scientific support to Health Care Professionals (HCPs) and training of sales teams.

• Leading, continuously shaping and delivering the overall functional strategy and diligent completion of actions related to key projects effectively and efficiently.

• Contributing to operations excellence by embracing Surgipharm’s platforms and systems.
• Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with KOLs and experts
• in the therapeutic area to gather insights, facilitate research collaborations, and gain advocacy for the client's products in line with therapeutic area guidelines.
• Scientific Exchange: Engage in scientific exchange with external stakeholders through presentations, publications, and attendance at therapeutic area-focused medical conferences and advisory board meetings as required.
• Training and Development: Develop and deliver training materials for internal teams, including
• sales representatives and medical affairs staff, focusing on product knowledge and therapeutic
• benefits.
• Educational Support: Provide scientific and medical education to healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and nurses, on the client's products, disease states, and treatment modalities.
• Clinical Support: Serve as a resource for healthcare providers by addressing inquiries related to
• clinical data, study protocols, and treatment guidelines specific to the defined therapeutic areas as
• required.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all interactions and activities comply with applicable laws,
• regulations, and industry guidelines, including those related to off-label communication and
• promotional activities specific to the defined portfolio products.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments, including Medical Affairs, Clinical Development as required, Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial teams, to ensure alignment on scientific messaging and support strategic initiatives within the product portfolio space.
• Actively manage the service budget as agreed in the contracting terms.
• Deliver a non-promotional service to the scientific community, while providing market insights to the internal commercial teams.
• Supports Business Development activities related to Medical Affairs as required.
• Other duties as required by the BUH.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in science / medical degree.
• Licensed as required by the National Regulatory Authority.

Experience and Skills Required:

• 2 Years relevant experience as a Medical Scientific Liaison.
• Experience in relationship and stakeholder management.
• Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences.
• Ability to express ideas clearly in written documentation, one-on-one conversations and in small group dialogues.
• Good understanding of the healthcare system, clinical trial methodology, statistics and regulatory environment.
• Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
• Preferred understanding of multiple aspects of Medical Affairs.
