Job summary

Top Notch Management Services is Human Resources Management Consulting firm based in Nairobi and branches across the Country. On behalf of our client who deals sale and distribution of fresh farm produce to mainstream retail outlets/supermarkets, we are seeking to hire for the position of a Merchandizer to serve the Nairobi region. The Merchandiser will be responsible for ensuring the farm produce are well displayed, adequately stocked, and attractively presented in the retail outlets to maximize sales and enhance brand visibility. The role involves maintaining merchandising standards, monitoring stock levels, building relationships with store personnel, and supporting promotional activities.

Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities
1. Arrange and display products according to company merchandising standards.
2. Ensure shelves are clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
3. Monitor product expiry dates and rotate stock using FIFO principles.
4. Conduct regular stock checks and report low stock or stock-outs.
5. Visit assigned retail outlets according to route plans and schedules.
6. Build and maintain good relationships with store managers and attendants.
7. Collect market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and promotions.
8. Prepare daily/weekly merchandising reports and submit to supervisors.
9. Ensure pricing labels and product information are accurate and visible.
10. Support sales teams during product launches and activations.
11. Maintain compliance with company policies and outlet standards.

Qualifications
i) Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field.
ii) 1-2 years in merchandising, retail, or FMCG sales.
iii) Understanding of product placement, planograms, and shelf management.
iv) Ability to meet targets and build retailer relationships.
v) Strong negotiation skills.
