RequirementsMinimum of D+ in KCSEValid Driving Licence Class ABCECurrent Certificate of Good ConductValid Public Service Vehicle LicenseAt least five (years experience as a driverMechanics Grade IComputer LiterateCreative and innovative team playerGood interpersonal and communication skillsPerson of integrity; morally upright and matureAble to work under minimum supervisionExcellent team leadership skillsFlexible and adaptable to work in a multicultural environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
Carry out routine servicing, oiling, greasing, and replacement of wornout partsConduct preoperational checks and ensure vehicles are roadworthyDiagnose mechanical and electrical faults and recommend necessary repairsDrive university vehicles safely and ensure their cleanlinessEnsure adherence to traffic laws and university transport policiesKeep accurate records of repairs, spare parts used, and maintenance schedulesMaintain tools and equipment in good working conditionMaintain vehicle security on and off campusReport vehicle defects and expiry of insurance licenses promptlyTransport university staff and students as required
REQUIRED SKILLS
Route planning, Vehicle maintenance and repair, Driving license Class B, C, E - light vehicles & heavy commercial vehicles, Fleet management
