Primary Responsibilities

Network Monitoring & Performance Management

  • Conduct extensive performance and traffic monitoring across Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and WLAN/WiFi architectures.

  • Monitor RF signal quality for cellular and WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz/6GHz) to identify degradation patterns.

  • Implement usage data collection and generate actionable insights for both cellular and HSIA traffic.

System Administration & Maintenance

  • Perform scheduled firmware and software upgrades for rXg, Ruckus (SmartZone), Meraki, Aruba, and other OEM controllers.

  • Define and coordinate OAM (Operations, Administration, and Maintenance) routine schedules.

  • Maintain and update site-specific documentation, floor plans, and network maps.

  • Execute backup and restore procedures for network configurations and databases.

Incident & Change Management

  • Manage day-to-day tasks and follow-up communication to properties regarding escalated cases.

  • Perform technical impact analysis for proposed changes in both DAS and WiFi environments.

  • Conduct post-incident reviews and root cause analysis (RCA) for network outages.

  • Coordinate with Cellular DAS deployment and construction teams for general deployment support.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose equipment failures, connectivity issues, and RF interference.

  • Work directly with vendors (Ruckus, Aruba, RGNets, ADRF, Comba, etc.) for complex issues requiring higher-level intervention.

  • Assist with field service dispatching and provide remote guidance to field technicians during on-site repairs or deployments.

Required Technical Skills

WiFi & Networking Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of 802.11 protocols and HSIA environment requirements.

  • Proficiency in Ruckus (SmartZone/Cloud), Cisco Meraki, Aruba Central/ClearPass, and RGNet (rXg).

  • Strong understanding of VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and IP routing.

RF & Telecommunications Expertise

  • DAS Architecture: Knowledge of passive, active, and hybrid fiber DAS systems.

  • Familiarity with Public Safety Spectrum

  • Experience with Spectrum Analyzers and Signal Generators for troubleshooting signal interference.

Certifications & Experience

Education & Certifications (preferred but not required)

  • CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.

  • CWNA (Certified Wireless Network Administrator) or OEM-specific (e.g., Ruckus RAC/RAS, Meraki ECMS1 or CMNO).

  • DAS Specific: iBwave Level 2 (preferred) or iBwave Public Safety.

  • OEM Certifications: ADRF, Comba, JMA, or CommScope.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in a NOC environment or RF/Telecommunications role.

  • Proven experience in DAS deployment and Enterprise WiFi troubleshooting.

  • Experience with HSIA (High-Speed Internet Access) in hospitality or multi-dwelling unit (MDU) environments.

Work Environment & Competencies

  • Open to flexible scheduling, including rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs.

  • Clear technical communication with properties, clients, and internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous incidents and manage follow-ups to closeout
