Operations Manager – Manufacturing

Key Responsibilities:

• Set objectives, provide direction and support his team to deliver world class performance.
• Analyse and draw information for strategic change and develop an operating strategy.
• Ensure good manufacturing practices are in place.
• Practice all environment, health and safety procedures and make safety a top priority.
• Lead the safe operation and comply with legal, legislate and corporate safety requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimize cost and productivity improvements.
• Understand and implement ISO procedures that relate to the role and responsibility.
• Translate market trends and customer needs into actionable goals that create competitive advantage
• Develop, analyse and manage operational expenses.
• Work with cross functional teams such as supply chain, finance, sales and marketing and quality.
• Work with HR to build a positive employee relations and industrial relations culture.
• Train, coach and provide development opportunities for staff.

Qualification:

• Must have Bachelor in Engineering / Production / Management.
• Must have 5 years’ experience in the manufacturing or logistics / distribution environment.
• Must have 3 years in managerial/leadership position.
• Must have experience working in a multinational company.
• Good knowledge of SAP / MFGpro or similar software.
• Analytical, problem identification and problem solving skills.
• Gujarati/Punjabi speaking candidates preferred.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh. 150,000 - 200,000/= (Approx. 1,578 - 2,105 USD) depending on experience
