Job Summary

This role will cover manufacturing, agribusiness, transport and logistics, and sales and finance. The person required to fill the position should be well experienced because the business offers services to other businesses, farms and consumers. This position need someone with good communication skills and well trained in soft skills because of high level engagements with government officials, business entities, and consumers.

Job Description/Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business management or related discipline.

• Four years and above experience in operations role, preferably in farming industry and also fast moving consumable good (FMCG.)

• Extensive experience in senior or executive management roles within production or farming related industry.

• Someone who is quick in problem solving and finding solution that will benefit consumers and organization.

Roles and Responsibilities.

Transport and logistics. 

• Ensure transport of sugar cane from farms to collection centers within the region. 

• Record keeping on tonnage after harvest and at collection points.

• Transport of farm input to the farms for instance fertilizer and cuttings.

• Transport of staff to different area of operations.

• Transport of goods to retailers and consumers.

• Ensure farm machinaries, motorized machines and vehicles are in good shape.

Government stakeholder.

• Participate in meetings and workshop organized by relevant departments in the region. I.e. Kenya revenue, Kenya bureau of standards, Kenya sugar board, Kenya association of manufacturer and National Environmental Management.

• Advise department on harmonization and renewal of operation licenses.

• Work in collaboration with Cess collection departments at county level. 


• Budget forecast and development, profit and loss management, and minimizing cost.

• Monitor and ensure company meets daily and monthly sales targets in line with company sales targets, and company annual sales revenue.

• Provide leadership fostering an accountable and customer eccentric culture within operational teams through recruitment training and continuous improvement.

• Provide oversight of all operational team activities. Access, implement and optimize technological solutions for enhanced operational efficiency.

• Drive marketplace growth and sustainability by ensuring suppliers onboarding and training.

• Responsible for scaling of operations, terms and processes to support growth of the company.
