·        Assessing, planning, implementing nursing intervention and evaluating patient outcomes and providing appropriate health care service.

·        Detecting / diagnosing and managing of Ocular pathologies like allergies, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy etc.

·        Perform vision tests and analyze results.

·        Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness and eye diseases, such as glaucoma.

·        Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses and assist in frame selections.

·        Provide treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation.

·        Provide pre- and postoperative care to patients undergoing eye surgery—for example, examining a patient’s eyes the day after surgery Promote eye health by counseling patients, including explaining how to clean and wear contact lenses.

·        Binocular vision management.

·        Contact lens fitting and management.

·        Low vision management.

·        Appropriate referral of eye diseases.

·        Gathering medical records and patient information.

·        Taking ocular measurements, both anatomical and functional .

·        Maintaining and cleaning ophthalmic instruments.

·        Assisting the ophthalmologist in basic procedures.

·        Ensuring dispensing is appropriately done to customers satisfaction.

·        Managing complaints and adjustments raised by clients and sorting them out.
