Pharmaceutical Technologist

South B Hospital is seeking a is seeking a qualified, competent, and motivated Pharmaceutical Technologist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Dispense medications accurately and provide appropriate instructions to patients on their use.
  
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
  
• Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, dispensing, and pharmaceutical transactions.
  
• Monitor pharmaceutical stock levels, expiry dates, storage conditions, and stock movement.
  
• Participate in stocktaking, ordering, receiving, and proper storage of medicines and medical supplies.
  
• Support pharmacovigilance activities, including the reporting of suspected adverse drug reactions.
  
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organized, and secure.
  

Key Requirements:

• 
  
• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
  
• Valid registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) and a current practising licence.
  
• Relevant experience in a hospital or busy outpatient pharmacy will be an added advantage.
  
• Good knowledge of pharmaceutical inventory management and dispensing procedures.
