Pharmaceutical Technologist-Locum

Job summary

We are seeking a qualified and reliable Locum Pharmaceutical Technologist to provide flexible support in our pharmacy unit. The successful candidate will ensure safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications while maintaining compliance with regulatory and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Dispense medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and established guidelines
  
• Review prescriptions for completeness, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions
  
• Provide patients with clear instructions on medication use, dosage, and side effects
  
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure all dispensing is recorded in the system
  
• Support stock management, including receiving, storage, and stock counts
  
• Ensure compliance with Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) regulations and facility policies
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy
  
• Report any discrepancies, medication errors, or adverse drug reactions promptly
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• 
  
• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution
  
• Valid registration and current practicing license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB)
  
• Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in a busy hospital or retail pharmacy setup
