Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescribed medications and provide appropriate patient counseling.
- Verify prescriptions for completeness and appropriateness before dispensing.
- Maintain accurate records of drug transactions and inventory movements.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate timely replenishment of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Receive, store, and manage pharmaceutical products in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, hospital policies, and professional standards.
- Participate in stock counts, inventory audits, and management of expiries.
- Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage conditions within the pharmacy.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and other stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration and practicing license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
- At least two (2) years' experience in a busy hospital pharmacy setting will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Hospital Information Management Systems (HIMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dispensing practices, and inventory management.
