Pharmaceutical Technologist

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Accurately dispense prescribed medications and provide appropriate patient counseling.
  
• Verify prescriptions for completeness and appropriateness before dispensing.
  
• Maintain accurate records of drug transactions and inventory movements.
  
• Monitor stock levels and initiate timely replenishment of pharmaceutical supplies.
  
• Receive, store, and manage pharmaceutical products in accordance with established procedures.
  
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, hospital policies, and professional standards.
  
• Participate in stock counts, inventory audits, and management of expiries.
  
• Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage conditions within the pharmacy.
  
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and other stakeholders.
  

Qualifications and Experience

• 
  
• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
  
• Valid registration and practicing license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
  
• At least two (2) years' experience in a busy hospital pharmacy setting will be an added advantage.
  
• Proficiency in Hospital Information Management Systems (HIMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dispensing practices, and inventory management.
