Our client, one of the leading MFCGS companies in the region with headquarters in Kenya is looking to recruit a Plant Maintenance & EHS Leader.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintenance Leadership & Asset Reliability: Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
- EHS Strategy & Compliance: Implement ISO 45001/14001 systems, ensure legal compliance, conduct risk assessments, and lead incident investigations.
- Chemical Manufacturing Safety: Manage hazardous chemicals, process safety (PSM), and emergency response plans specific to chemical operations.
- People Leadership: Develop maintenance and EHS training schedules, foster safety culture, and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Utilize CMMS, drive OEE improvements, and lead cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- 7–10+ years in plant maintenance/reliability, with 3–5+ years in EHS leadership.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing environments, including hazardous material handling and process safety.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001/14001, NEBOSH or equivalent certifications.
- Proficiency in CMMS and maintenance analytics.
