Power BI Consultant

Requirements:

• B.Tech./ M.Tech./ MCA/ M.Sc. Statistics.
• Minimum 5 years of proven hands-on experience in Power BI development and data visualization
• Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing and retail processes, including supply chain, inventory management, and sales operations
• Familiarity with retail-specific analytics, such as customer segmentation, sales forecasting, and merchandising analytics, to enhance retail business intelligence
• Experience in developing forecasting models and conducting trend analysis to support decision-making in manufacturing and retail environments
• Proven ability to define key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to manufacturing and retail operations and implement monitoring mechanisms in Power BI
• Experience in integrating Power BI with ERP systems commonly used in the manufacturing and retail sectors (e.g. MS Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle)
• Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and retrieval
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts is a plus
• Good verbal and written communication with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and external customers
• Certifications in Power BI or related technologies are desirable

Responsibilities

• Data Modelling and Transformation: Design and implement efficient data models, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, and transform raw data into meaningful insights.
• Report Development: Develop and maintain interactive and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards tailored to meet business requirements.
• Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources and ensure seamless data flow into Power BI for comprehensive analysis.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize Power BI performance through query optimization, data indexing, and other best practices.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to data quality, report accuracy, and system performance.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for Power BI solutions, including data models, reports, and dashboards.
