2. Job Purpose
The Processed Meat Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling processed meat products to retail outlets, Households , hotels, restaurants, butcheries, and distributors. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, expanding the customer base, maintaining strong client relationships, and supporting digital marketing efforts aimed at increasing sales.
3. Key Responsibilities
A. Sales & Business Development
- Promote and sell processed meat products such as sausages, bacon, ham, burgers, and cold cuts.
- Identify and develop new customers and sales channels.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients.
- Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Prepare quotations and follow up on sales leads.
- Negotiate pricing within approved company guidelines.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
B. Social Media & Digital Sales Support
- Manage and maintain the company’s social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp Business, etc.).
- Create and post engaging content aimed at promoting products and driving sales.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries received through social media channels.
- Promote special offers, new products, and seasonal campaigns.
- Track engagement and contribute ideas to grow the company’s online presence and customer base.
C. Order Management & Coordination
- Receive and confirm customer orders accurately.
- Coordinate with production and dispatch teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure proper handling of perishable products during distribution.
- Follow up on payments and outstanding invoices where necessary.
D. Reporting & Administration
- Submit daily/weekly sales performance reports.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
- Track stock movement and report low inventory levels.
4. Performance Targets & Commission
- The Sales Representative will be assigned specific monthly and/or quarterly sales targets by Management.
- Upon achieving the set target threshold, the employee will qualify for commission incentives.
- Commission shall be paid in accordance with the Company’s Sales Commission Policy.
- Commission payments are performance-based and subject to compliance with company policies and confirmation of customer payments.
5. Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Certificate in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in FMCG or food product sales.
- Experience in meat or other perishable goods sales is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of social media marketing and digital sales engagement.
6. Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to meet sales targets consistently.
- Good content creation and social media management skills.
- Basic computer literacy (Excel, POS systems, social media platforms).
7. Working Conditions
- Field-based role with regular client visits.
- May require early mornings or weekend availability.
- Involves handling and selling perishable products.
