Duties/responsibilities:  

  • Procurement assistant will manage the procurement activities of a growing manufacturing company.
  • He/she will be in charge of purchasing, and will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, placing orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to support the company operations by performing the following responsibilities:- manage the end-to-end procurement process for materials, equipment, and services.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on price, quality, service, and delivery timelines.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing with vendors to ensure best value.
  • Raise purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure goods are received in full and on time.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores and production teams to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
  • Liaise with the finance department to ensure timely payments and proper reconciliation of supplier accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Continuously assess the supply market for new and better sources of materials and services.
  • Assist in cost-saving initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts within the procurement function.
