PRODUCTION MANAGER (FOOD INDUSTRY)

Key Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and control production activities to meet output, quality, and cost targets.

Supervise and coordinate the work of production staff, ensuring adherence to schedules and standards.

Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to optimize efficiency.

Implement and enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with food industry regulations.

Collaborate with quality assurance, supply chain, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations.

Prepare and present production reports, including KPIs, budgets, and resource utilization.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, audits, and certifications relevant to food production.

Train, mentor, and develop production staff to build a high-performing team.

Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods in coordination with procurement and logistics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Production Management, Engineering, or related field.

5–7 years’ experience in production management within the food manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP).

Proven track record of managing production teams and achieving operational targets.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in production planning tools, MS Office, and ERP systems.
