Project Manager (Freelance) – Kenya Operations
Exhibit Africa is expanding, and we’re looking for a hands-on Project Manager to support our growing operations across East Africa.
Over the years, Exhibit Africa has built a strong reputation as one of the continent’s most innovative exhibition stand design and build companies. We’ve delivered projects for leading corporates and government entities, and we continue to strengthen our infrastructure to execute seamlessly across multiple countries.
This is a freelance, project-based role, with the potential to transition into a full-time position as we grow.
Role Overview
You will work closely with our Country Director to support the successful delivery of exhibition stands (primarily in Kenya), ensuring smooth coordination across production, logistics, and on-site execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of exhibition stand design and build projects, ensuring timelines, quality, and client expectations are met
- Oversee and maintain the production/workshop space to ensure efficiency, organisation, and safety standards
- Coordinate procurement of materials, balancing cost, quality, and timelines
- Manage inventory systems, including tracking stock movement, asset usage, and replenishment needs
- Plan and execute logistics operations, including loading, transportation, unloading, and on-site handling of materials
- Supervise the installation and dismantling of exhibition stands, ensuring smooth and high-quality on-site execution
- Manage and coordinate general labour, as well as freelance carpenters and electricians
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, schedules, and reports
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across workshop and on-site environments
- Lead project meetings, providing clear updates, aligning teams, and resolving operational challenges
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication skills in English
- A technical, hands-on mindset
- Background in Interior fit-out, logistics, manufacturing, or related fields
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Solid IT and organisational skills
