Job Summary

The Project Manager will play a key role in the development office with collaboration and support of the development officer in the; planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects aimed at achieving our organization's development goals. This role requires a strong combination of project management, communication, and analytical skills to ensure project success and stakeholder engagement.

Job Description/Requirements

Project Proposal Development:

  • Lead the development of high-quality project proposals, including needs assessments, project design, budgets, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather relevant information and ensure alignment with donor requirements.



Project Implementation:

  • Coordinate project activities, resources, and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address challenges and deviations from plans. Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met and outcomes are achieved.



Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track project performance, measure impact, and inform decision-making.
  • Collect and analyse data, generate reports, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders for continuous learning, improvement and project effectiveness and sustainability.



Reporting:

  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate reports for donors, stakeholders, and management, highlighting project achievements, challenges, and financial status.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports and compliance with donor reporting requirements.



Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with donors, partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and support project goals.
  • Represent the organization in meetings, workshops, and events related to project activities.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Project Management, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • At least 35years of age and minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, preferably in the development sector.
  • Proven track record in writing successful project proposals and securing funding from donors.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Commitment to organizational values, ethics, transparency, and accountability.
