Raw Material Coordinator- Athi River

1. REPORTING STRUCTURE

You will report to the CEO.

2. THE PRIMARY FUNCTIONS OF THIS POSITION ARE TO:

·        Coordinate with established suppliers to ensure continuous raw material availability to prevent stoppage of production.

·        Find potential new raw material suppliers; work with commercial team to negotiate prices and terms, and make arrangements for agreements or contracts.

·        Secure the best prices for raw material that meets the quality standards and parameters of BE.

·        Communicate with the QC departments, production, and logistics on the delivery schedules of the raw material.

·        Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with preferred suppliers.

3. IN CARRYING OUT THESE TASKS YOU SHALL FOCUS ON AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

3.1 Coordinating raw material:

·        Coordinate supply of raw materials.

·        Monitor and maintain a record of the movement of the raw material.

·        Deal with stock discrepancies or quality issues efficiently with the commercial team.

3.2 Order management:

·        Have knowledge of the product being manufactured and the related requirements, and successfully estimate how much raw material is needed.

·        Together with the commercial team evaluate and compute the amount of raw material needed.

3.3 Departmental collaboration:

·        Work closely with other departments to assess and predict future raw material needs.

·        Meet with relevant departmental heads to assess whether the raw material meets the required standards.

·        Send monthly reports to pyrethrum toll processing customers from the factory and QC lab.

4. Limits of authority:

You are not authorized to commit the company to any agreement with raw material suppliers without the approval of either the CEO or Technical Manager.

5. When required, perform any other duty that may be reasonably requested.

6. KPIs - YOUR PERFORMANCE SHALL BE MEASURED BY THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:

· Ensure adequate supply of raw materials                                                                60%

· The raw material supplied should meet the quality standards and cost required     20%

· Timely reporting on all matters relating to raw materials                                          10%

· Ensure proper flow of communication and rapport with other departments              10%

7. INABILITY TO CARRY OUT THESE ROLES

Should any development arise that precludes you from carrying out these duties effectively, or that will prevent company procedures on raw material supply being adhered to, immediately inform the CEO or Technical Manager.
