We are a rapidly growing medium sized bank operating within the East African region. We wish to recruit a Relationship Manager. Your primary role will be to develop strategies for new business and thus building your portfolio while maximizing customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain existing client relationships, attending to their needs, managing their expectation and cross selling the Bank’s products and as such generating new business
- Identify opportunities for product development, selling and cross-selling of the Bank’s products to maximize our market share
- Develop and implement sales plans/activities to acquire profitable business relationships
- Present solutions to customers demonstrating clear business value, engage in negotiations and close deals
- Ensure customer satisfaction in regard to service delivery as well as attend to client issues
- Gather and maintain up to date market intelligence and provide feedback to the Head of Business Development on new developments in the market place and competitor activities
- Identify customer potential and credit worthiness and prepare credit proposals in compliance with the Bank’s credit and lending policy
- Identify value proposition and high level solution parameters based on customer requirements
- Collaborate with internal functions that support the sales, gather required input and coordinate actions; (work closely with customer operations teams for quality and improved performance)
- Conduct research on strategically prioritized areas, sectors and target to identify potential areas for business opportunities
Qualification and background
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration
- Diploma in Banking, professional banking qualifications such as AKIB
- At least 5 years experience in a financial institution
- Strong business acumen, relationship and business building skills, organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and follow through abilities
- Experience in sales and/or marketing management and administration is essential
- Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, negotiating skills
- Proven leadership skills and ability to deliver results.
