JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Head – Human Resources, the Safety, Health & Environment Officer will be responsible for ensuring that workplaces are safe and healthy for employees, visitors, and stakeholders. The role will support compliance with the company’s Safety, Health and Environment policy, OSHA 2007, NEMA, WIBA Act, and other applicable regulatory standardsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Safety and Health, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.Professional certification in Environment, Health and Safety such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) is highly desirable.At least 4 years’ relevant work experience in a dynamic environment.Good understanding of EHS regulations and compliance requirements in Kenya.Experience in conducting EHS research, investigations, risk assessments, and recommending practical solutions.Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of workplace safety, health, and environmental management practices.Ability to work cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams.Safety-conscious with ability to apply methodologies that improve processes.Strong interpersonal, communication, training, and reporting skills.Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.High attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity.Good problem-analysis, investigation, and documentation skills.
