Position Summary

The Sales & Service Advisor serves as the primary relationship builder and revenue driver for the service center. This role is perfect for a self-driven professional who can seamlessly blend top-tier customer service with consultative sales, using their technical expertise in automotive parts and service processes to maximize workshop revenue and customer loyalty. The ideal candidate does not just take orders; they proactively identify customer needs, advise on optimal vehicle care, and leverage their deep knowledge of parts to deliver accurate, efficient solutions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Relationship Management




  • Drive Service Revenue: Actively identify and promote additional needed maintenance and repair services through persuasive, consultative sales techniques.



  • Customer Experience: Promptly and professionally welcome customers, building high-value relationships rooted in trust, transparency, and expert guidance.



  • Consultative Advisory: Listen attentively to customer concerns, explain technical diagnoses clearly, and offer data-driven advice on vehicle longevity and safety to secure service approvals.



  • Accurate Estimations: Prepare competitive and accurate cost estimates for labor, service packages, and parts, confidently handling objections to close sales.



  • Proactive Retention: Follow up with customers post-service to guarantee satisfaction, address feedback, and schedule future routine maintenance appointments to build a recurring client base.



Technical Advisory & Parts Optimization




  • Technical Liaison: Translate complex mechanical issues into easy-to-understand options for clients, acting as the expert bridge between the workshop floor and the vehicle owner.



  • Parts Identification & Sourcing: Utilize specialized technical knowledge to precisely identify, cross-reference, and source required parts, minimizing vehicle downtime and ensuring high margin efficiency.



  • Workflow Coordination: Collaboratively work with technicians to verify diagnostic findings and align parts availability with workshop schedules to maintain a smooth, rapid workflow.



  • Compliance & Administration: Meticulously open, track, and close repair orders, handle financial transactions accurately, and maintain absolute clarity in all service documentation.



Qualifications and Experience



  • Education: College diploma or university degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Sales/Marketing, or Mechanical/Automotive Engineering).



  • Experience: Proven track record as a Sales Advisor or Service Advisor within a busy motor vehicle service center.



  • Parts Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of automotive parts, components, and procurement management systems.



  • Sales Aptitude: Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with a proven ability to meet or exceed service center sales targets.



  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, listening, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical vehicle owners.



  • Organization: Excellent time management skills with the capacity to handle high foot traffic and multi-task under pressure.



Physical Demands & Work Environment
