DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate sales leads through site visits, referrals, walk-in clients, and direct marketing activities
- Market and sell construction materials including cement, steel, aggregates, roofing materials, fittings, and related products
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, fundis, architects, and suppliers
- Conduct regular client visits and follow up on quotations to ensure deal closure
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable construction materials and solutions
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules within company guidelines
- Meet and consistently achieve set sales targets and revenue goals
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and customer feedback and share insights with management
- Coordinate with the store, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely delivery and proper invoicing
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and after-sales support professionally
- Participate in marketing campaigns, promotions, and product launches
- Maintain accurate customer records and update the sales database
- Ensure proper product display and branding at the shop or showroom
- Uphold company values, ethics, and professionalism at all times
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Sales & Marketing or a related field
- Proven experience in sales within the construction or hardware industry
- Good knowledge of construction materials and building products
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Target-driven with a strong passion for sales
- Computer literacy (MS Office and basic sales reporting)
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
