Sales and Marketing Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Prospect, pitch, and secure business clients within Nairobi City for our service offerings.
• Onboard business clients onto our online clearance platform to list their discounted inventory.

• Sell digital marketing packages tailored to small and medium enterprise (SME) needs.
• Manage end-to-end sales cycles from cold outreach to deal closure and client onboarding.
• Work independently with minimal supervision to meet strict monthly sales targets.

Key Requirements 

• Proven Track Record: At least 2 years of direct sales or business development experience—preferably selling digital services, software as a service (SaaS), advertising, or marketplace listings to B2B clients and SMEs.
• Academic Excellence: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with a minimum KCSE grade of B+ (or equivalent), demonstrating strong analytical abilities, learning agility, and business acumen.
• Articulate Communicator: Exceptional verbal and written command of both English and Swahili. You must be able to pitch complex digital products simply, handle objections smoothly, and close deals with business owners and managers.
• Autonomous & Self-Directed: Exceptional time-management skills with the ability to manage your daily field route across Nairobi City, run sales meetings, and meet high monthly targets with minimal supervision.
• Nairobi Market Familiarity: In-depth understanding of commercial hubs within Nairobi (e.g., CBD, Westlands, Eastleigh, Industrial Area, Kilimani) and local retail/trading dynamics.
• Results & Target Orientation: Energetic and motivated by performance incentives, with a strong commitment to hitting or exceeding monthly onboarding and subscription goals.
